Prior to joining Hannes Snellman, Silja worked as an associate at the energy and environment practice of another major Finnish law firm, where she specialised in energy transactions and advised clients on the development of renewable energy projects.

Hannes Snellman acted as counsel to Exilion in the negotiation of a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with Axpo for wind power acquired by Colgate-Palmolive. Axpo will sell electricity produced by Exilion’s Ii Isokangas wind farm, located in Northern Ostrobothnia, to Colgate-Palmolive to supply their renewable energy needs. Under the 12 year PPA, Exilion will deliver an annual amount of 70 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of the production of the Ii Isokangas wind farm.
