Hydrogen in Focus — Smooth Land Use Planning and Permitting in Hydrogen Projects | Seminar 27 March 2024
14 March 2024
We warmly welcome you to hear and discuss some topical themes of the hydrogen economy and the related regulation in Hannes Snellman's four-part seminar series Hydrogen in Focus. During the spring, we delve deeper into certain topics relating to the hydrogen economy together with our experts and guest speakers.
The seminar series continues on 27 March as we dive into land use planning and permitting in hydrogen projects. In the second part of our series, we are joined by Johanna Korpi, Director of Legislation at Ministry of the Environment, to discuss the measures already taken to streamline the legislative environment regarding renewable energy projects' permitting processes and what is still needed to foster their development further. Additionally, with the lead of Suvi Perälä, Senior Officer at the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes), we will talk about the safety aspects related to hydrogen projects that must be paid attention to in land use planning and permitting.
The seminar will be held at our office (Eteläesplanadi 20, Helsinki) on Wednesday 27 March 2024 at 8:30–10:00 am (Finnish time). The presentation (in Finnish) starts after breakfast at 9:00 am.
Please register for the event via email (ida.anttila@hannessnellman.com) on Wednesday 20 March 2024 at the latest. If you are unable to join us in person, you can participate remotely.
Stay tuned for the next part of the seminar series entitled Key Features of Project Agreements in Hydrogen Projects.
