“Our clients’ assignments are often challenging, complex, and extend beyond national borders. The demand for pragmatic and to-the-point strategic advice in competition matters, combined with a deep understanding of business reality is what our clients are expecting from us. We work for many clients in both Finland and Sweden and by covering two markets we can offer significant advantage for our clients”, says partner Peter Forsberg.
Helena Lamminen is an internationally experienced competition lawyer, who advises clients on all aspects of competition law, specialising in the identification and assessment of competition concerns, market analysis, assessment of significant market power, and competition litigation. Helena has competition law experience with several authorities, and she has extensive knowledge in regulatory competition matters. In addition, Helena has worked for the European Commission, and she holds a postgraduate diploma from King’s College London.

Sarah Ek, Anna Hovstadius, and Johanna Pokela are newly graduated lawyers, who have previous experience from working in private practices. Essi Ellman will join the Competition and Procurement Team at the end of 2020 after writing her thesis at Hannes Snellman. “We are thrilled to welcome these talented lawyers in our growing Competition & Procurement team. With some 20 outstanding professionals in our team, we can further ensure the first-class client experience in all competition law related matters”, says partner Maria Wasastjerna.
Hannes Snellman’s competition team regularly advises clients on critical competition law issues in transactions, commercial agreements, and day-to-day business practices. The procurement team has significant experience in complex public procurements, including procurement contracts and strategies in tender procedures and public procurement proceedings before courts.
