Vis Moot Countdown Continues: Webinars and Workshops

As the FAI Arbitration Rules have been selected as the applicable arbitration rules for the 32nd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the 22nd Vis East Moot, the FAI and its partnering law firms are organising a series of high-impact events in Finland and elsewhere over the course of the coming months, including for example webinars and workshops.

On 13 December 2025, the final episode of the FAI’s three-part webinar series, called “Experiences from the Field: Insights from FAI Arbitrators and Finnish Arbitration Practitioners”, was aired. Hannes Snellman’s Partner Markus Manninen was one of the four arbitration experts taking part in the webinar discussion, which revolved around the topics of admissibility of evidence and multi-tier clauses, which are both relevant in this year’s Case. On Thursday 19 December 2024, we got to meet this year’s Mooties from the Finnish universities for the first time, when Hannes Snellman’s Dispute Resolution Team held its annual pre-moot workshop on how to write a persuasive memorandum. Our Associates Annika Lampela and Matias Temonen together with our Partner Anna-Maria Tamminen and Senior Associates Ricardo Gomes and Viktor Saavola presented their views on how to draft a persuasive memorandum and shared their own experiences of Vis Moot with the teams.
