Hannes Snellman Strengthens Its Competition & Procurement Practice

We are strengthening our Tier 1 Competition & Procurement team with a lateral partner recruitment – Mikko Huimala joins Hannes Snellman.

Mikko Huimala has extensive experience in competition and regulatory matters, and he advises clients on all aspects of competition law, including compliance matters, proceedings before the competition authorities and courts as well as merger control. He is also highly experienced in regulatory matters, particularly in the telecommunications and energy sectors. Prior to joining private practice in 2006, Mikko gained experience of investigating cartel and other competition law infringement cases in the national competition authority. Mikko has a post-graduate diploma in competition law economics from King’s College London. He is the president of the Finnish Competition Law Association and is ranked in both Chambers Europe and Best Lawyers. Mikko Huimala joins Hannes Snellman from DLA Piper in Helsinki where he has been a partner and the head of Competition and Regulatory.
