Hannes Snellman’s Involvement in Corporate Social Responsibility – Annual Donations

Hannes Snellman has a long tradition in corporate citizenship and pro bono work. One of our traditions is to each year make an annual donation to causes and organisations that share similar values with us. In 2016, Hannes Snellman has decided to support Unicef, Save the Children, and Kompis Sverige.

Hannes Snellman has a long-standing partnership with Unicef, and this year we wanted to again support the organisation, which has a long and successful history in supporting those who are in the weakest position in the world. Save the Children was chosen this year because of the world’s refugee crisis – Save the Children provides help in the crisis areas, along the escape routes, and also in the target countries. Kompis Sverige focuses on integration at the individual level for people that are newly arrived or otherwise in a vulnerable position in the society and also to people firmly established in the society. Kompis Sverige builds friendships and prevents exclusion. 

In addition to our traditional annual cross-border donations, we have also implemented initiatives received from our employees and, to name one example, this year Hannes Snellman is again participating in the Joulupuu collection in Finland.
