Hannes Snellman Counsel to Valedo on its Divestment of Akademikliniken

Valedo Partners Fund I has agreed to divest its majority holding in Akademikliniken to Polaris Private Equity. The majority of the other shareholders of Akademikliniken, comprising key employees and founders, remain significant shareholders alongside Polaris and will together continue Akademikliniken’s development and expansion. 

Akademikliniken is the Nordic market leader in plastic surgery and aesthetic treatments with its 16 hospitals and walk-in clinics in Sweden and Norway. Akademikliniken performs more than 50,000 procedures each year and has more than 300 employees. 

Hannes Snellman acted as counsel to Valedo Partners Fund I, which made its investment in Akademikliniken in 2011. Akademikliniken has since Valedo’s investment become the market leader in the Nordic region with significant increases in sales and operating income before depreciation and amortisation amounting to MSEK 363 and MSEK 51 respectively.
