Hannes Snellman Counsel to Metsähallitus in Divestment of Wind Farm Project to Taaleri Plc Private Equity Fund and Loiste Energia Oy

On 23 June 2016, Metsähallitus and a JV owned by Taaleri Plc’s private equity fund, Taaleri Tuulitehdas II and Loiste Energia Oy completed the second phase of a transaction that had begun in 2014. At the time of the acquisition, Taaleri Plc’s private equity fund Taaleri Tuulitehdas II and Loiste Energia Oy had just enlarged their Kivivaara-Peuravaara wind farm project by six wind turbine generators, bringing the total number of wind turbine generators to 19, with a total investment value of EUR 110 million. The entire transaction includes two pre-construction stage wind farm projects, Kivivaara-Peuravaara and Tolpanvaara that are envisaged to comprise a total of 55 wind turbine generators with an electricity production capacity of approximately 165 megawatts.
