Hannes Snellman Counsel to Keliber in Respect of Its Lithium Project

Hannes Snellman is acting as counsel to Keliber in respect of the company’s lithium project in Central Ostrobothnia, Finland. Keliber has signed an engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) contract with Sweco in respect of the project, which comprises a concentrator plant and lithium mines in Kaustinen, Kokkola and Kruunupyy, and a lithium hydroxide plant in Kokkola. The construction of the facilities is expected to begin in 2022, the aim being to start production of lithium hydroxide in 2024. The project is one of the most significant battery chemical projects in Europe.

Keliber is a Finnish special chemical and mining company with the aim of producing sustainable, high-purity, battery-grade lithium hydroxide for the growing lithium battery industry by utilizing own ore.

The Hannes Snellman team is headed by Juha Lindström and Maria Landtman and also includes Katja Perätalo, Klaus Metsä-Simola, Janne Veneranta, Samuli Pirinen, and Carolina Lefort Ahokanto.
