– With Elisabeth Vestin as Head of IP & TMT, we are now able to offer cutting-edge advisory services within this field also from our Stockholm office. The advisory services will continue to take place in close cooperation with our offices in Finland and Russia. Elisabeth has an excellent ability to appreciate which future issues will have an impact on our clients’ businesses within the IP & TMT field. This makes her the natural candidate to lead our advisory services in the field.
Elisabeth Vestin also has cutting-edge competence within the field of corporate responsibility and compliance. This is an area of great importance for our clients, and I am confident that it will be further strengthened now that Elisabeth Vestin has joined us, says Paula Röttorp, Managing Partner at Hannes Snellman in Stockholm.
– Sweden is one of the world’s most innovative countries with leading businesses within for example the gaming industry, music industry, which is one of the largest in the world in terms of the size of the population, and a favourable environment comparable to Silicon Valley’s for ICT. However, continued success demands that companies’ innovations and products are secured. Intellectual property rights, such as patents and brands, are therefore often decisive for innovative companies. Hannes Snellman’s leading position will give me the right conditions to make use of my experience and network in order to assist our clients in becoming global players within their fields and industries, says Elisabeth Vestin.
Elisabeth Vestin has more than 10 years of experience within IP & TMT, compliance and corporate responsibility. Most recently, she held a position at Advokatfirman Lindahl, where she headed, for a number of years, the firm’s media, entertainment and sports practice and also established the firm’s operations within corporate responsibility and compliance. She had previously worked in the field of anti-corruption and sustainability for ten years. She has also worked as a lawyer at the international law firm Reed Smith LLP in London.
Elisabeth Vestin has many years of experience of working with franchise systems and chain businesses and is a board member of Svensk Franchise (www.svenskfranchise.se).
