Jouko Markkanen Has Joined Hannes Snellman’s Finance Team as Counsel

Experienced lawyer Jouko Markkanen joined Hannes Snellman’s Finance Team as counsel on 7 January 2025. Jouko has previously worked in various different roles at Procopé & Hornborg, DLA Piper, Fondia, and Ernst & Young, and he also worked as an associate in Hannes Snellman Finance Team from 2011 to 2014.

Jouko has extensive experience in finance law, and his expertise encompasses all types of financing transactions, including acquisition finance, real estate finance, project finance, as well as restructuring and refinancing. Jouko also advises clients in relation to general corporate and contract law.

In addition to a Master of Laws degree, Jouko holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) and a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Oulu.
