Markus Manninen Appointed to the CAS Anti-Doping Division for the Paris 2024 Olympics

Partner Markus Manninen from Hannes Snellman’s Dispute Resolution Team has been appointed to the CAS Anti-Doping Division for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The CAS Anti-Doping Division will consist of six arbitrators and adjudicate anti-doping related matters arising during the Olympics. It will be one of the CAS’s two temporary offices in Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games in addition to the CAS Ad Hoc Division, which will resolve any legal disputes that arise during the Olympics. The arbitrators selected for these divisions are all experienced lawyers, judges, or professors specialised in sports law, anti-doping regulations, and/or arbitration. Read more here.
Markus Manninen regularly represents Finnish and foreign corporations in both domestic and international ad hoc arbitrations, as well as in arbitrations administered by various institutional rules. In addition, Markus frequently serves as an arbitrator in both ad hoc and administered arbitration proceedings. Markus has unparalleled experience in the field of sports law. He serves as a CAS arbitrator and has advised foreign and Finnish sports federations and top-level clubs in various types of cases.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is an independent institution, based in Lausanne, involved in resolving legal disputes in the field of sport through arbitration and mediation. The CAS jurisdiction is recognised by all Olympic sports federations and many non-Olympic federations.
