Hannes Snellman Supports University of Helsinki in the Establishment of New Sustainability Law Professorship
6 September 2024
Hannes Snellman is proud to support the University of Helsinki in the establishment of a new sustainability law professorship under the Faculty of Law. The purpose of the professorship is to drive sustainable business by foreseeing the regulatory impacts of the European Green Deal and other future programmes and by providing information about the restrictions and possibilities of environmental regulation.
“We are so happy and proud to be a part of the establishment of a sustainability law professorship. Sustainability law combines many existing fields into a new and developing field of law, and it is important to devote enough resources to research in the field. We believe that the professorship will strengthen the competitiveness of Finnish business life in both the short and long term. To us, this project combines our long-term efforts to support education in the legal field, especially when it comes to business law, and our aims to be a strategic yet practical frontrunner in legal advice relating to sustainability matters”, says Partner Riikka Rannikko.
You can read more about the professorship on the website of the University of Helsinki here (available in Finnish).
