Hannes Snellman Recognised as a Firm and Panu Siitonen and Vilhelm Schröder as Individuals in WTR 1000

We are happy to announce that Hannes Snellman as a firm and Partner Panu Siitonen and Counsel Vilhelm Schröder as individuals have been recognised in the 2025 edition of the World Trademark Review’s WTR 1000 ranking.

Hannes Snellman was ranked as a firm in the silver category for prosecution and strategy and enforcement and litigation and recommended for transactions. Panu and Vilhelm were recognised as individuals, with Panu recognised in the silver category and Vilhelm in the bronze category for Finland. Panu was also recognised as a recommended individual for transactions.

Panu Siitonen heads Hannes Snellman’s Intellectual Property Practice. He has vast experience in intellectual property (IP) and information and communications technology (ICT) matters as well as IP and ICT related litigation. Panu also has substantial experience in life sciences, regulatory, marketing, and e-commerce, gaming, and gambling as well as sports, media, and entertainment. Panu has advocated several cases relating to trademarks and domain names, patents and utility models, copyrights and databases, and complex IP-intensive contractual issues. In addition, Panu has advocated several cases relating to marketing and unfair business practices.

Vilhelm Schröder advises clients in intellectual property disputes. He has significant experience from both civil and administrative litigation as well as preliminary injunction proceedings and enforcement. Vilhelm has litigated before the Market Court, the Supreme Court, and the Supreme Administrative Court and the Unified Patent Court (UPC). Vilhelm is a registered representative in proceedings before the UPC. He has represented clients from several industries, such as life sciences, telecommunications, paper & pulp, oil & gas, media, video gaming, and IT.
