Hannes Snellman has been ranked among the leading firms for trademark enforcement and litigation in Finland in WTR 1000. Partner Panu Siitonen and Senior Associate Sarita Schröder have also been highly ranked as individuals.

According to the guide, “full-service outfit Hannes Snellman coordinates with its counterparts in Stockholm to allow for seamless cross-border protection in the Nordics. The Helsinki branch is home to over a dozen experts who operate at the confluence of intellectual property and technology, while still delivering wall-to-wall brand protection whatever the sector.”

Panu Siitonen heads our Intellectual Property practice in Helsinki. He has vast experience in intellectual property (IP) and information and communications technology (ICT) matters, including IP- and ICT-related litigation. Panu has advocated several cases relating to trademarks and domain names, patents and utility models, copyrights and databases, and complex IP-intensive contractual issues.

According to the guide, “practice helmsman Panu Siitonen keeps a conscientious eye on the National Hockey League’s portfolio. A litigator by trade, he also gets results in enforcement proceedings that are deserving of the Stanley Cup.”

Sarita Schröder specialises in intellectual property, marketing, and consumer law, with a particular focus on litigation and other contentious matters in these fields. She has represented clients in a number of notable disputes involving claims of trademark, trade dress, and copyright infringement, misappropriation of goodwill, as well as false and misleading advertising.
