Anniina Järvinen as a Secretary in a Working Group for Revising the Helsinki Takeover Code

Managing Associate Anniina Järvinen, who works in our M&A Practice, has been appointed as a secretary of the Securities Market Association's working group for revising the Helsinki Takeover Code. The Takeover Code contains recommendations for the actions applicable to public takeover bids. The reform will implement the recent legislative developments and consider the need for other updates based on the experience obtained from the application of the Takeover Code. The revised Takeover Code is due to enter into force in spring 2022.

The objective of the Helsinki Takeover Code is to standardise the procedures to be complied with in public takeover bids in Finland and in this way to promote the legal protection of parties in a takeover bid. The current Takeover Code entered into force 1 January 2014.

Anniina specialises in capital markets transactions and other transactions involving listed companies as well as on matters related to corporate governance.
