2 July 2021

Partner Anna-Maria Tamminen has been re-appointed as a member of the ICC Court by the International Chamber of Commerce’s (ICC) supreme governing body, the World Council, for the term 2021-2024. The International Court of Arbitration is a leading arbitral institution. Since 1923, it has been helping to resolve difficulties in international commercial and business disputes to support trade and investment.

I look forward to continuing my work on the Court for another three-year term. The Court confirms, appoints, and replaces arbitrators, decides on any challenges made against arbitrators, monitors arbitral proceedings, and scrutinises and approves arbitral awards. I am very honoured to contribute to the work of the Court and grateful to ICC Finland and the ICC World Council for entrusting me with this role”, Anna-Maria says.

Anna-Maria specialises in commercial arbitration and litigation, with a special focus on complex international disputes. She has experience in mediating, arbitrating, and litigating high-stakes commercial disputes in the fields of general commercial law, international sales, post M&A, international investment law, competition law, telecoms, pharmaceuticals and energy under various arbitral rules. In addition, Anna-Maria advises clients with regard to potential commercial and investment disputes and on the recognition, enforcement, and setting aside of arbitral awards. She also acts as arbitrator in both international and domestic disputes. Anna-Maria works out of both the Helsinki and Stockholm offices of Hannes Snellman and is admitted to practise as an attorney both in Finland and the State of New York.
