Klaus Ilmonen Speaking at Helsinki University Corporate Purpose Seminar
8 December 2022
Corporate purpose has become subject to increased debate in society — among corporate stakeholders, scholars, and regulators alike. Regulatory initiatives have been introduced at both the EU and national levels on increased accountability for corporate emissions and other externalities that would broaden corporate liabilities. Will these issues change the nature of corporations, and will increased politicisation affect the competitiveness of business in the EU?
Partner Klaus Ilmonen has been invited to discuss the topic at the Corporate Purpose and Sustainable Corporate Governance conference organised on 15 December by the University of Helsinki. Klaus holds a doctorate in law, and alongside his practice serves as a professor of practice at Hanken School of Business. His research focuses on the politics of corporate law and corporate governance.
