When did you start working at Hannes Snellman? What did you do before you started working here?
I started at the beginning of autumn 2014. Now, having been here for a while, I've noticed how fast time really does fly. Before Hannes Snellman I worked with graphic design within the financial sector. I worked, for example, at Handelsbanken, BNP Paribas, UBS, Crédit Agricole, and other smaller and larger financial companies, both as a consultant but also as an in-house graphic designer.
What was your first impression of Hannes Snellman?
The first thing that struck me was the social atmosphere. Everybody was nice and tried to get to know me. I was also made sure of the high expectations the company had of me. That was very inspiring and made me very motivated. I still have the same impression today. Even if I have been here for a while and there are some new faces around, it's still very social. And people still have high expectations of me.
What is included in a “normal” working day?
As most people at this firm would probably say, no day is just like the other. It varies, and that's what is fun about it. My job as a graphic designer here also means a lot of different tasks. Since I work for both offices, I get tasks from both sides of the Baltic Sea. Typical tasks I get can be everything from helping out with a presentation or a timeline in Word to designing banners for newsletters or flyers for an event. I also hold several Hannes Academy lectures focusing on PowerPoint and graphic design.
What do you like most about your job?
My job is a lot of fun since it's very versatile and I like the tasks and challenges I get on an everyday basis. But I especially like to work here because of the people. As I said earlier, this workplace is very social and that makes it even more fun to come to work every day. We have fun together whether it's work-related or something else. Because at Hannes Snellman, we also spend time together outside of the office hours. You can, for example, join me and our running club for a run every Friday or you can join our book club. We also have after-work get-togethers, kick-offs, ski trips, and much more. And all of this is happening together with these fantastic people.
