Hannes Snellman Counsel to Keliber in the Construction of Its Lithium Project

Hannes Snellman is acting as counsel to Keliber in respect of the construction and supply contracts pertaining to the company’s lithium project in Central Ostrobothnia, Finland. The project is one of the most significant battery chemical projects in Europe with a total capex of approximately EUR 600 million. Keliber has now signed a contract with Metso Outotec to supply a concentrator plant in Kaustinen and a lithium hydroxide plant in Kokkola, which is one of the key deliveries in respect of the project.

Keliber is a Finnish mining and battery chemical company with the aim of producing sustainable, high-purity, battery-grade lithium hydroxide for the growing lithium battery industry by utilizing own ore starting 2024. The majority shareholders in Keliber are Sibanye Stillwater Limited and Finnish Minerals Group.

The Hannes Snellman team is headed by Katja Perätalo and Maria Landtman and the core team includes Carolina Lefort Ahokanto, Emmi Nuutila, Kristina Leibssle, Sara Soini, and Janne Veneranta.
