Ricardo Gomes Speaking at Vienna Vis Moot on 15 April 2025

Ricardo Gomes from Hannes Snellman’s Dispute Resolution Practice will be taking part in a panel discussion organised by The Finland Arbitration Institute and ArbitralWomen in connection with the Vis Moot finals in Vienna, Austria, on 15 April 2025.

The panel will be addressing the topic of “The Power of Owning Your Narrative”. The panellists will be discussing the question of how personal factors, such as nationality, gender, ethnicity, education, and cultural background, influence careers in international arbitration—and how practitioners can take ownership of their professional narratives.

Ricardo Gomes works as a senior associate at Hannes Snellman, and his practice focuses on complex international arbitration proceedings. He currently represents clients in commercial and investment arbitration proceedings before several major arbitral institutions and ad hoc proceedings across a variety of industry sectors. Ricardo has also acted as an arbitrator in an international dispute under the FAI Rules and also as a tribunal secretary.
