Hannes Snellman Advises ABB in Its Entry and Investment in Arctial, an Industrial Partnership for Low-Carbon Aluminium Production in Finland

Hannes Snellman advised ABB in its entry and equity investment in the Finnish project company Arctial, an industrial partnership between ABB, Fortum, Mitsubishi, Rio Tinto, Siemens Financial Services, Tesi, and Vargas, which will conduct a feasibility study on a low-carbon aluminium production in Kokkola and Kruunupyy.

The production facility would be the first greenfield primary aluminium development project in Continental Europe in decades and would facilitate rapidly growing demand for low-carbon aluminium, clean energy transition, and end-customers’ decarbonisation targets.
